MULDERIG/GIBBONS - Crossmolina
« on: Friday 16 October 09 03:33 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information on the MULDERIGS of Crossmolina.  The parents were Patrick and Mary GIBBONS MULDERIG, both born in
County Mayo.  They were the parents of two daughters whose names I know: Mary, born March 1840, and Catherine (Katherine), born March 1848.  I believe they also had (at least) two sons, John, born 1829, and Michael, born 1832.
I think that Patrick and his children emigrated to the USA; I don't know if Mary came with them or if she died in Ireland.  The family settled in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.  Catherine, who married Dennis HUGHES, was my great grandmother.
Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
