Hi Lori
my transcription was taken from photos taken a while ago, but a gentleman called Howard has taken a great set of photos from Canonbie and put them all online. I don't think he minds people using the photos as long as you acknowledge him as the author. You have to search through them to find what you want, and some photos you can't make out many details, but the gravestone you want (I've just looked!) I think is no 182 in album 2:

hope this link works

Re:Bell/Lauder
John Bell (b.Oct. 21, 1792 d. after 1851)who married Jean Lauder, was the older brother  of my gr.gr.grandfather William Bell (b. Mar. 4, 1795-Feb. 26, 1857). Their parents were Thomas and Ann (Irving) Bell (Oct. 1, 1764)(Ann b. 1768).
My forefather William  came to Canada  with his family and settled in Pt. Elgin or Saugeen, Ont. around 1847, some of his family stayed there in that area, some moved to Manitoba, the Tree I have been working on for forty years!
I have a portion of  your John & Jean (Lauder) Bell Tree that might be helpful to you if you are still working on it, and if you even find this in the forum at this late date. I have just gone on this site.

Your John and Jean moved to Lampton, Ontario. Barb (Bell) Holmes

Sorry mchopper, I didn't mean literally but their family moved to the Lampton, Ontario area, and I have their Family tree down to the 1980's for one or two branches.

Sorry if I am late in replying. I have been quite ill so I haven't been doing any family tree work. I was excited to see that you have information to share. If I give you my email could you send me what you have. I'm hoping that getting my mind off my health might actually help.(*)
