Information this recent will not be online, as Swiss privacy laws are very strict.  If you are a direct descendant of the couple, you can contact the appropriate local record office, ie the place where the family originated.   (This is not necessarily the place where the couple married.)  See here for an explanation of Switzerland's registration system http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,183876.0.html

KLAAS is not typically Swiss (it sounds more Dutch?), but there are several separate GERBER families originating in various cantons, particularly the canton of Bern.

There is a person matching your description on A......y leaving Liverpool for Halifax Canada with his wife in 1951. Heimatort (Town of origin): Klosters. The info is in German which I can translate for you if you wish.

If you would like more info, maybe it would be best to PM me?????

Bob, hope I'm not "sinning" by this. If so, please delete.

As we are straying into "modern times" here, can I ask anybody with helpful information to pass this along to geekmom by PM.

Thanks,
Bob

Already done so. Had a feeling I might be "sinning", hence the question.

Paul and Vera Klaas were my parents.   I'm inquiring" who wants to know this information and why"?

Hello D.Klaas,

Looking for info on a Paul Klaas born  1921 in Klosters, Switzerland and married a  Vera E Gerber in 1953.  Would like to know where they were wedded and what date.
Thanks

In his (her?) original posting in 2009 'geekmon' didn't mention any family relationships or other reasons for this request.

He hasn't been online since then. If he has switched on "notification if answers on this topic", then he will have already received an e-mail notification, that you have replied on this topic.

Just in case he hasn't switched on notifications, I've also sent geekmon a PM (private mesage) to let him know you have replied here.

Good luck !
Bob
