a question - I aren't too familiar with scottish MI's - does the long family history on the stone imply they are all interred in this plot, or just commemorated, in which case the individuals named have their own plots and stones elsewhere?

Ok - after the change from Summer Time to GMT. clocks went back, so I was up early. Spent some money at ScoPeop.
Got DCerts for all named.
No surprises, the missing name is 'Caroline' Irving.
Jane is wife of Evan not Edward. MI is incorrect.
Both Jane and Caroline died from 'paralysis' - polio??
David died  'Diseases of the spine' - polio??
If you are interested I have followed many of these families up to 1901 census, and all date is on my public tree on Ancestry.

I can not find MC for Jane Howells and John Barker Tweedie between 1851 and 1861, (OPRs or BMD) - but there is a marriage of a John Tweedie and a Jane Telfer, Lochmaben, in 1861. Nor Have I found her on the 1851 census. Given her age this could be a second marriage. Her death is due to 'Mortification' - whatever that means.

so - where does that leave us:
Need to find Jane in 1851 and her marriage to John BArker
Jane and John died Muirkirk, they are not on the Cummertrees MI - is there an MI at Muirkirk?
Are Alexander (troqueer 1841) and John BArker related?
There are other Tweedies in Cummertrees through the censuses - are they related
