Hi Lingo
I couldn't find registrations for births either, but derived the birth year for Walter (~1890) and Thomas (~1884) from the online WA death records.

I could only find service records for Harry and Richard as well, but I do have a note that William was listed as a Private in 1917, but have no idea where I got this from, so will have a search through my notes and get back to you.

Regards

Re William LANGDON born abt 1883/1884 and WW1 on http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/ there are 17 William's none of which match with "our " William in age or NOK.
I'm not sure if any records of those who served are missing.

Hello Lingo

I found the sources of my notes were the newspaper notices for Harry's and Louisa's death, both in 1917, noting William on active service - I'm not sure why there isn't a service record - perhaps if he was in training, rather than abroad?

Kalgoorlie Miner 12 Oct 1917 LANGDON.— Private Henry, killed in action, somewhere in France, on September 7th, 1917. Deeply mourned. — Inserted by his mother, father, sisters and brothers, including Privates Will and Dick (on active service.)

Kalgoorlie Miner 18 Dec 1917 LANGDON.— The friends of Mr. and Mrs. Virgo, Mr. and Mrs. W. Langdon, Mr. and Mrs. F. Langdon, Mr. and Mrs. Kilgallon, Mrs. Burley, Miss K. Langdon, and Dick and William Langdon (on active service), are respectfully informed that the remains of their late beloved mother will be removed from the Government Hospital, at 11 o'clock, to-day, for interment in the Kalgoorlie Cemetery.

I think Mr F. Langdon is probably a typo for T(om), but don't know where George is.

Regards
