Hi Michele

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

I think yours in one of the posts on the family that we found on Rootsweb! Beanie will get notification of your post here.

Just one piece of advice. Private emails are not allowed on the open forum to protect posters from spammers etc. If you click on the 'modify' button you can amend your post....before the copyright editor comes along  ::)

Once you have done three posts on the main forum, you can use the Private message service and contact RootsChatters that way (a good way to exchange private emails). Just click on the small green scroll under anyone's name on the l/h side to access the PM Service.

Monica  :)

Hi Michelle,
I've tried to email you, but it just keeps coming back, so I will post here. David and Sarah were my 2x GreatGrandparents, their son Alexander was my GreatGrandfather and his daughter Davida was my Grandma, please let me know where you fit in, I have lots of info on the family.
Kind regards
Jeanne

My great grandfather was captain David Chalmers.Whose death was reported in the Wigtownshire Freepress August 1911,which deails the death of Captain David Chalmers Harbourmaster of Drummore, also Master Mariner and shipowner.I have been unable to find any records to confirm these titles, and would be grateful for any documentation to substantiate this information
many thanks

Ronald Clark died at Gladstone Villa in 1931.  It was listed as being in Drummond; but I have eventually figured out this was Drummore (in parish of Kirkmaiden).  Monica Gillies Clark (spinster) and Thomas Maclellan Hunter (merchant) were apparently the executors.
