Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

My G Grandfather was Patrick Kilgallon born Mayo in 1856.  His father was Patrick also.  Could Anthony be a relation?

Re; JM Roach Reply

Thank you for your information, it has been helpful.  As I have said above my G G Grandfather was Patrick Kilgallen born 1856 Mayo but he married in Wigan, England to Mary Foley 01/10/1876.  From his marriage certificate I can tell you his fathers name is Patrick also and from census records his mothers name is Ellen (1825-1884 (Born in Mayo died in Wigan, England)).  Have you got any marriages for a Patrick and Ellen.  I am assuming they married in the 1840s 1850s???

I have the following Kilgallons for 1856 in Kilmoremoy Parish:
January 13 - Anthony for Denis and Bridget Kilgallon, Bunree; sp. Thomas and Anne Naughton

January 17 - Ellen for John Kilgallon and Anne Murphy, Slievvenagark;sp. Nick and Mary Gilmartin

September 19 - Michael for Anthony Kilgallon and Bridget Coolican, Bohernasup; sp. Mary Quinn

November 2 - Bridget for John Kilgallon and Bridget Holleran, Shanaghy; sp. James Holleran and Anne Kilgallon
1857
January 11 - Matthew for John Kilgallon and Mary Gallagher, Shanaghy; sp. Michael Corcoran and Kate Barrett

September 4 - Michael for Pat Kilgallon and Judy Thomson, Mullens; sp. Robert Knight
1855
Feb. 18 - Joseph for Thomas Kilgallon and Mary Crean, Hill St.; sp. Michael McNulty and Ellen Crean

March 17 - Patrick for Matthew Kilgallon and Winifred Moyle, Mullans; sp. Thomas and Mary Durkin

September 11 - Dennis for Dennis Kilgallon and Bridget Kilgallon, Bunree; sp. Thomas Naughton and Ellen Hennigan

November 6 - Cate for John Kilgallon and Anne Murphy; Ardnaree, sp. Thomas Crean and Bridget Murphy

December 12 - Bridget for Pat Kilgallon and Bridget Robinson, sp. James and Catherine Robinson

I can't find a Pat whose father was also Pat. If he were born in Kilmore, it was difficult to read some pages because the ink bled through or was so faded I couldn't read it. However, there were quite a few Kilgallons in the parish.
