Cosher/Neal Theodica Newbold Verdon

I am looking for the deaths of Theodoca Cosher who is 72 on the 1841 census and Theodoca Neal age 1 on the 1841 census.

I can't find them on any other census.

Their names on Anc***try is Theodica Crosher and Theodica Neal

Couldn't see Them though

Thanks for looking Wendy.

We did a pretty extensive search yesterday through Chatterbox nd someone found a marriage for a Theophila Neal and a Nathaniel Crosher. I think this is her second marriage as she was living with a William Neal.

The date of the marriage is also after Williams date of birth.

So I'm hoping someone out there can find an earlier marriage.

I have found the younger Theodocia Neal (as spelt at her marriage) in 1851 in Bosworth Union Workhouse - it is wrongly indexed as Theodora Read,  but the image says Theodora Neal.

I can't see her in 1861 yet

but there is a marriage 1862 Walsall reg dist one of the possible spouses being Edward Nightingale,  from then on she seems to have lived in Darleston Staffordshire she is indexed as Theodosia in 1871, Theodora in 1881 and Theodisia in 1891.  Let me know if you need any more info to spot her.

OK digging around a bit more

I have found a baptism for a William Neal who would fit with the William whoses house they are in, in 1841   31 JUL 1808   Desford (Desford is close to Newbold Verdon) s/o William Neal & Theophila Neal

I can't find the marriage of William Neal to Theo**** (anything) at the moment,  but there is a baptism in 1772 in Desford for Theophila Ellet d/o William & Anne.

Thanks so much Debbie, I will try and find her for myself. She seems to be my 5g grandmother.

Her grand daughter ended up in the workhouse too at one stage.

I wondered if you could help me out once again and give me your expert oppinion on this death.

Zipporah Cosher - Dec 1844 Chipping Norton Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire.

I know Chipping Norton is over an hour away from Newbold Verdon but it is the only one remotely possible I've found so far.



Also found this 1861 census entry that could be Theodica jnr.
Class:  RG9; Piece:  2283; Folio:  79; Page:  18; GSU roll:  542948.

Theodosia Hull head age 22 b leicestershire
