Curtis brass foundry

Bewildering and addictive, thank you, dathai, for so much information. I was mistaken that William was a direct ancestor but have discovered the Maxwell connnection through your links. I do have brass which came from Abbey Street, supposedly! George Frederick Wilkinson Curtis is my family member but lived concurrently 1848-1914 and that's all I've found. Vague memories of mention of 1 Rutland Square but no family left to verify. Thank you again.

Many thanks, I can see George FW 53 and William George 64 lived concurrently in 1901 census but cannot find connection or link to original William Curtis who moved foundry in 1863 from Chancery Lane 1859-1872 I have no idea of sources in Ireland but wills could be one.

How brilliant to discover No.24, I've no idea how to access the registrar. Thank you very much indeed.

I'm overwhelmed, thank you once again. Robert Deverell was my grandfather. You mentioned an informant, is this person alive or part of your records? I don't have any relatives whatsoever but if a distant cousin could contact me, you can imagine my gratitude. I have researched the Noble, Deverell and Hewson families and as the Quaker records were preserved, traced a line back to 1633 when they arrived in Ireland from Suffolk. I have no worry about annonymity, I'd just love to be in touch with any member of the family, however distant.
