Amended request for Wight from New York passenger list look-up
« on: Wednesday 09 December 09 20:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

wonder if anyone can help me find anything at all regarding the passage of Horace William Wight born in New York in 1838. Horace married Jemima Welham in Islington in 1858 so he would have come to England pre 1858.

Any help/info greatly appreciated,

Regards,

Michelle

freebmd.rootsweb.com shows that Edward Wight and Maria Cunnell may have married in Croydon district later in 1851. They had a daughter, Helen Maria, but I don't think that she ever married or had children.

Passenger records into the UK were not regularly kept at this time. However, you may be able to find some trace of Edward Wight's original trip to the US.
