Hello. My late father in law was Apsey Ball. 15/06/1916. Isle of Wight
He always said he had traveller blood in his family and they came from Yorkshire.  Can anyone let me know if he was correct.
I do know for sure Penfold was a relative of his as a family member came to the Isle of Wight  in around 1980
James Dooley=Mary 1860's ish or before with a son Arthur b 1863.

Hi,

This is a very late response, but have recently been looking at the family tree and have a Thomas Ball married Elizabeth Hudson Smith 1848 at Cambridge.  Also, their son William married Ruth Beaney who was daughter of Absolom Beaney and Priscilla nee Ripley.

Can anyone help with some detail as I only really started this to answer questions from a relative and am now obsessed with finding a photo of the fairground or part of it.

Thank you for any assistance.

Looking for any information on the Ball family showmen.  My family are from the Isle of Wight but originall from Thomas and Elizabeth whose children were Thomas, James, Susannah, Elizabeth, Joseph and, my direct line, William who married Ruth Beeney.

Would love to hear from anyone connected and also see any photos as I have none.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone,
Teresa
