I need to know/find out ..... if the Susan Groizard married to Frederick Bews is the daughter of Louis Groizard and Susan (Jahet) Groizard !

Hi Stewart !

I have to say no ... I have no date !!  :-\

She was living with her sisters in 1861 ... then the next time I saw her was 1871 with Frederick Bews ... she said she was married - but she's noted as Groizard !!

RG10 5756 52 19

Frederick BEWS H M 29 painter Jersey St Helier's
Susan GROIZARD W M 29 do
Thomas C COCKANE nephew U 13 painter do

Address: 3 Colomberie, St Helier, Jersey

I have her on all the census now up to 1901 all the others say Susan Bews !!

I also found a Will and Testament of a Frederick Bews, St Helier. Dated 6 February 1902. 08/01/1917 - 08/01/1917

So I'm hoping she's my girl !!  :)

I do wish people would get married in the Parish in which they lived. It would life so much easier!!!

St Saviours marriages - June 1863 to March 1866, page 1, Frederick Bews. Susanne Rachel Groizard is on the same page.

I appreciate your help very much Stewart .... but I still can't tell if it's her ....  :-\ I've never seen mention of Rachel before ! :-[

the only way I'm going to know for sure is to buy the marriage certificate to see who her father is !!
