Peter Geddes and Elspet Crockett
« on: Tuesday 15 December 09 16:56 GMT (UK) »
I have searched for a very long time on ancestors of mine. Peter Geddes and Elspet Crockett. They are the grandparents of my great-grandmother. I would be very grateful to anyone who could find their deaths for me as I have searched for a very long time and have had no success. Elspet was born in 1853 in Drainie to William Crockett and Janet Stewart. Peter Geddes was born in 1850/1851 in Portgordon. As far as I have found, his parents were Alexander Geddes and Ann Smith. I have been unable to find their marriage certificate to make sure I have the correct parents so I would be very grateful to anyone who could also find that.

Thanks,
            Greg  :) :)

Thank you for the marriage. Do you think you could find the death records? I have spent quite alot of time searching for that but I have had no success with that whatsoever.
Something I do know is that they were dead by 1950. Their granddaughter (my great-grandmother) could not remember when they died as it was soo long ago.

Thanks,
            Greg  :)

Just checking - you mean the death records of Peter & Elpet?
Or of his parents?

What is the latest Census details  you have them on (whichever set it is above) ?

No, I have not. Thank you for this. Was it on the SP? Also, could you get the full date of her death? Her parents were William Crockett and Janet Stewart. If they are the parents on that death certificate, then thank you very much  :) :). Was Peter Geddes still living then?

Well I found out in 1901 they were living with all 9 of their children. Peter was away fishing in 1881 and 1891. He was finally home in 1901. I meant the death of Peter and Elsie as I have been able to get their parents from the IGI.
