Hi,

I have just found this internet site and am very interested in any info on the Mordecai's. My Grandfather was James Robert Mordecai (son of Herbert Hermon Mordecai).

My father didn't get to know my grandfather as he was very young when he died. Any info on any relatives would be greatly appreciated. I have a family tree on Genes Reunited.

Regards
Karen

Karen

I am happy to send you on what I have found so far.  if you put on a couple of more posts and send me a Personal Message with your email address I have quite a bit of info.

I do know that all the Mordecai's in the North East descend from one line.

Regards

Emma

Hello,

I am very interested to read your posts. My father was Herbert Carter who grew up in Durham and then moved to Wales. He was born in aprox 1930. Family history says that he was originally Herbert Mordecai and that his name was changed to Carter when he was very young.........does anyone have any further information??
We are now in Derbyshire.
