workhouse burial

i understand that my great grandmother died in the birmingham workhouse,
her name was maria lee[lea] it is said she died of alcoholic poisening
i cannot find a death for her or where she would have being burried . it would have being before 1900.

You say it would have been before 1900- which is the last census you have found her on?

If you'd like one of us to look for you- can you give us all the info you have on her...DOB who she married,when and what kids she had.

All will help us to find her to narrow down the timescale of her death.

My grandmother died in the workhouse she was buried in a nearby cemetary, in an area  reserved for workhouse burials no marker.

Do you know which workhouse she died in
ie my great great grandmother died in the workhousein 1896 from the death cert i contacted witton cemetery and found the burial but found she was buried in a common grave there is not memorial  but they supplied me with a mape showing the plot.

If she is still using the same email address she will be notified that you have posted here and might come back online.However she never did respond to our questions back in Dec 2009,so may have found the answer to her query.
