Hi All, hope that you have had a great Xmas, looking for any info concerning James Boyd and his wife Isabella, they had a Dairy shop at 110, High St, lanark. I beleive they had quite a few children between approx 1895 and 1910 one definite Jeanie Hutchison 1909 in Bellshill, Lanark. Any info a bonus.

Hi Colin

Purchasing Jeanie's birth certificate from Scotland's People would give you her mother's maiden name, so you could then find her parents marriage to give you a lead on them - re ages, parents etc.

There is an Isabella Hutchison Boyd born 6th June 1904 at Brownhill Farm, Bellshill to James Boyd (Dairyman) & Isabella Boyd m.s. Hutchison. The parents are noted as been married 14th June 1895 at Western District, Shotts.

One thing I did noticed when I searched on SP is that between 1895 & 1909 there were over 1600 "Boyds" born in Lanarkshire. I got lucky when I narrowed it down to Bellshill district.
