Brown(e) Family of Drumfeldra, Aughnamullen Parish, County Monaghan, Ireland
« on: Wednesday 30 December 09 16:36 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find the date and place of birth of my G Grandmother, Elizabeth Crewdson Brown, and any information about her parents or siblings.

The information I have is that Elizabeth Crewdson Brown married Christopher Bolland Powell in the Aughnamullen Parish Church on 27 April 1854. They lived in Drogheda before moving to Bury St Edmund England where she died in 1873, aged 39. This means she was born about 1834. Her father was George Brown of Drumfeldra. He is listed in the Griffiths Valuation as George Browne. I have a newspaper notice from 1859 regarding the disposal of his assets because of bankruptcy.

Which parish church? Protestant/Catholic....

I don't have the marriages yet for Aughnamullen but I need to look for various names there, my main Brown(e) line is from the Brownes of Drumaclan. Most likely it won't be until March.
