To Quaxar
Thank you once again, that is very much appreciated.
I have checked up on Family Search Record Search (some, not all, GRO records)
and found the death of Francis Asken 1877, 63 yrs old, so born abt 1804.
I thought 'That's great, same age as his wife Mary'.
But, I found Mary Asken died Jan-Mar 1883, age 63, (born abt 1820).
Our Mary, dau of Kendrick & Margt. was born 1804. But the first Mary could have died and another born later. (Some say they had 17 children).
Francis Askin is listed among Property Owners of Co Dublin 1870:
Francis Askin 79 Pembroke Rd  1 acre
We still lack the early records to solve this riddle.
Regards,
Ken

K.C.

Thanks for your latest. Francis Askin appears to have been born in 1814 from your figures and not 1804 as stated.
In my previous , I should have stated the address as 79 Pembroke Road  Ballsbridge and not 79 Ballsbridge.

To Quaxar,
Thanks for that. My mistake, the death entry says 73 yrs, not 63, so 1804 will be right.

Ken

More on the Askens-
From Irish Genealogy:
Marriage of Frances (sic) Asken of N/R and Mary Yeates of N/R on 28.11.1846 at Par. of St Andrews R/C Dublin.
Witnesses Simon Kearney and Jane Yeates
There were four more marriages of Asken/Askin 1799-1870 all St Andrews R/C.
I have no Jane in our Yeates family, but I have only 7 names- there were supposed to be 17 !
And our Mary was born 1804, but there could have been a later Mary if the first one had died.
Our Yeates were C of I, so it's still doubtful.

Re Posts 25/27/30-
I have to cross out that Margaret Yeates as the widow of Kendrick, nee Faulkiner. There are too many discrepancies.

The two youngest daughters (that we know of)  of Kendrick Yeates and Margaret Faulkner were Matilda 1815-1900 and Sarah Ann b.1818.
Matilda married John Paget Sweny abt. 1835. Now it seems that Sarah Ann
married his brother Dr. Mark Sweny.
Dr. Mark Sweny's wife was a Sarah Ann. She died in 1894, aged 76, so born abt. 1818.
Dr. Mark's son, Herbert Sidney, 1859-1933, named his fifth son Ernest Yeates Sweny, born 6.11.1893, and bapt. 1.2.94, at 44 Bessborough Ave. to Herbert Sidney Sweny and Sarah Jane Wilson.
The evidence is very strong that Sarah Ann was a Yeates, and I hope to prove it soon.

Continued....
Dr. Mark Sweny's first child was Augusta Elvira Lucinda, b. 1846.

We had found seven children of Kendrick Yeates and Margt Faulkner. Now we have eleven, and the youngest was Augusta. There were said to be 17, so we still have to find the remaining six.
Mary 1804, Martha 1806, Eliz. 1807, Andrew 1809, Talbot Faulkner 1812, Matilda 1815, Sarah Ann 1818, and the new ones are:
William 1821, Margaret 1823, Kendrick 1823, and Augusta 1824.
Also, a new son to Talbot & Ann Eliza (Goldrisk) of 26 Stafford St- Kendrick, bap. 28.5.1834.
The names Augusta and Yeates in Dr. Mark Sweny's family indicate that his wife was Sarah Ann Yeates, b. 1818.
