« on: Monday 04 January 10 11:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I attach an OPR 1756 marriage record from Scotlandspeople relating that "William Dalrymple and Janet Foot in ......... were married irregularly."  Please can anyone help with the missing word or words?

All the best

Thank you very much Geoff, without you I never would have found it but now that you have told us I can see that the text is very close to Borrowstouness.  William was a shipuilder so it is not surprising that he should have interests on the actual river and a little down stream from Airth.  Since several of his children were baptised in Airth I guess that the couple's residence was in that parish.

Thank you again and a very happy new year
