Hello Brent ,

my grandmother was Ellen Louise North . I 'm assuming your grandmother was her sister?
How long ago was it you contacted the grandson of Tom and Sarah?

Hi William,
Not sure if she is a sister , I haven't got a Ellen Louise on my tree and I cant find her on a search.
Its a bit of a long story from our side tbh. My dad and his brother and sisters were told by my grandmother (Mary Ann Waring 1906) that her mother had her out of wedlock and that she gave her to Ada Bailey nee Waring. That is all we knew when we started our search.
So we got grandmothers birth cert and her mother was Sarah Ellen Waring. Father unknown.
Sarah Ellen Waring was the daughter of Noah Waring and sister to Ada Waring. So Sarah Ellen gave her baby to her sister and left Barnsley. It took me ages to find her. But I tracked her down and she married Dean Thomas North in 1907 23 Dec Age: 20 Morton, St Luke, Yorkshire, England
after that tracking them was easy because Dean was a rare name back then.
these are all children of Sarah Ellen and Dean Thomas after my Grandmother was born.

Hello Brent,I understand my Son has been in touch with you concerning my grandparents and I think he got it all confused,I am the Daughter of Tom North,I am researching the family tree too,it appears you now have the photo you wanted, and if family trees are given a shake it is amazing what drops out.did you manage to find out all you needed to know,I am still searching, did you know that the Waring family were related to Charles Darwin.

Hi, Jay bird
No I did not know about Charles Darwin connection, I will have to look into that  :)
So it appears you and my father are half cousins with your father and my grandmother were half brother / sister with them having the same mother Sarah Ellen. I don't suppose any of you knew about my Granmother?
My father was over the moon when he got a photo. He is away at his boat at the moment but when he gets back I will find out who sent it to him, I think off the top of my head it was some one called David.
Many thanks for the reply.
Regards Brent.

Morning,no we knew nothing about your Grandmother, but everything seemed to be hush hush in those days,I remember my aunts and uncles well,we as a family used to visit Oakham every weekend and call round to see them all,I can see them now in my mind and I would not be very old, around 12 yrs old,we live just 10 miles from Oakham.I don't know any of the family now,not since my Aunts and Uncles died.   Charles Darwin is my 4th cousin 4x removed.
