   Occ:   Banksman Colliery
Maria ENGLISH   M   42    F   Medomsley, Durham, England
   Rel:   Wife
Here are George and Maria English in 1881 living Hedworth/Monkton/Jarrow Co.Durham I suspect George died 1890 and Maria died 1901. I would appreciate any census returns that can be found

was George the son of William & Margaret?

If so, he was still unmarried and living with them in Monkton & Jarrow in 1871.

That would explain why I couldn't find Maria and George in 1871.  :-[

All of these are correct. I have Maria MS Cawthorne .I have the earlier census returns thank you but I wondered if Maria died after the 1901 census was taken
