I'm looking for anything on my great grandfather Philip Pritchard born in Llanorgan about 1850,  married  to Elizabeth from Merthyr in about 1873.

I'd like details of his date of birth and marriage and who his parents were.

He lived in Porth, Glamorgan possibly after his marriage and was a haulage contractor.

Never heard of Llanorgan.
If it is Llanfeugan this is probably him in 1851 and 1861.
Cannot see another Philip in Breconshire of the age group.
May be in Glamorgan by 1871

Thanks for all that information, I couldn't find that name either on the map.  In 1891 and 1901 census he was living in Britannia in the Rhondda but there his place of birth is what looks like Pencelli, Brecon.

There seems to be so many Philip Pritchards about, if I could at least get his marriage date I would be able to get the certificate and find who his parents were.

Llanorgan? Looks like a typo for Glamorgan to me  ???

My great grandparents were Phillip and Catherine Pritchard of Britannia, Porth where I now live. 

I have just started to take an interest in the family and if I can provide any information, please let me know.

The 1861 Census shows Edward Pritchard residing at Allt Vigan.   Allt in Welsh is a hill or wood and there is an Allt Faigan showing on the OS Map behind Cornwall Farm, Pencelli.  Vigan is an anglicised form of the Welsh Faigan which would be pronounced as Vigan.

The OS map also shows some buildings in Allt Faigan.
