Looking for information on John Mackean. He was married to Sarah Boyle.
On SP they have at least five children
John born 26/08/1813
William born 29/03/1819 in St. Quivox
Sarah born 19/03/1821 in St. Quivox, this is my ancestor
William born 09/03/1823 in St. Quivox
Henry born 01/02/1825 in Newton

Any other details would be appreciated

Newton where Henry was born may have been Newton-on-Ayr, then a separate Burgh, on the opposite bank of the River Ayr from the old Burgh of Ayr. I discovered from another thread on this board, that St. Quivox Parish at the time covered an extensive area and bordered Newton-on-Ayr.
