Gosh, this just gets better! Hello and welcome to you too.

I have Florence Margaret Lynn, born 1889, married Jonathan Atkinson.

My link is through William Smith and Sarah Bushby, Margaret Smith/Morse/Lynn's parents. Margaret's brother, John William Smith, was my great grandfather. I am blessed with two maternal great- grandfathers called John Smith, so you can imagine what a minefield that has been! :)

I'd love to have more information on this line - I don't suppose there are old family photographs as well?

Jen

Wow! This is so exciting.
Sorry I'm new to Rootschat not sure what I'm doing yet.
Yes, I have old photos. I am sure I have a couple of Sarah, at an old age! I also have a letter from her husband David to my grandmother Florence Margaret (usually known as Margaret) sent after her death.

You need to do one more public post before you can use the PM system. I would love to see photographs if you have them scanned?

Do you know any more about Sarahs' husband, David? Am I right that he was David Hay, 1873, Edinburgh? I'm interested in this because I also have a Scottish Hay line on my father's side! having them link up would just be too weird! ;D

I'll scan the photos when I get a chance to look for them but in the meantime, David Hay married sarah in great ouseburn can't remember when without getting all my info out. They had two sons I think one was called Ian and the other Peter (not sure without checking). I have photos of then too. My uncle, Robert Leslie Atkinson was in touch with them in the 60's 70's and 80's. He used to visit them in Redcar. I will ask my aunt about this as she accompanied him.
