EDWARDS of Llandilo - 1871 census *COMPLETED*
« on: Thursday 28 January 10 00:51 GMT (UK) »
Could some kind soul please try a lookup of the John & Mary EDWARDS family in 1871, in or around Llandilofawr?

Here in Pennsylvania, there is a John EDWARDS & Mary (THOMAS) of Llandilo / Llandilofawr with children:
Joseph b. 1856/7
Evan R. b. 1861
John T. b. 1863
Thomas b. 1871/2
+ Jane (who m. a DAVIES and remained in South Wales)

There is a "half-brother" relationship mentioned in an old obit that indicates this family is connected to my own John & Mary EDWARDS.  Several kids’ names are the same in both families, and it’s rather confusing :-)

Many thanks,
~JudyLynn

"ALL things are possible," right?  ::)

I suppose your record could be the folks I'm looking for, but there's no Richard this side of the Atlantic (though he could've died young or stayed in Wales).  And there should be a Jane who remained in Wales.  Evan is the only American who has descendants today, so I'd hoped to see a census with his parents.

Thanks for your time, Osprey.  My actual ancestors John & Mary would be elsewhere with their children named (of course) John and Mary plus Joseph ... argh!
