Hi Kevin,

I checked through my records and I now believe that Sarah Ann NEWMAN and Joseph PITTUCK were married in Hadleigh on 17 May 1864, and that Sarah Ann was the daughter of my 4th cousin Charlotte NEWMAN who went on to marry Joseph BUMPSTEAD in Hadleigh on 12 May 1845.

Hi Kevin,

I really should not answer emails late at night!!!

Now that I have checked my database and archive I find I do have a lot on Mary Ann Eliza NEWMAN and James BECKETT. They were married at Hadleigh Congregational Church on 2 May 1874.

Hi Robert,

Many thanks for the information. I appreciate your help.
I wonder if the marriage of Joseph Pittuck & Sarah Ann Newman that you mention was also at the Congregational Church? Unless I missed it, I did not record it when I checked the marriage register of St. Mary's parish church.
Certainly several of Joseph Pittuck's siblings were christened at the Congregational Chapel.

I have been trying to let everyone know what is happening with the Cosford Database and the Surnames List by posting updates on the Resources and Links page of the Suffolk Rootschat Message Board.

As Robert has given you the URL for the archived version of the web site you may be able to find what you need.

I am trying to sort things out with Ray's widow, but I have had a lot of family illness to worry about for the last few months.

I am hoping to get both websites fully back on line in the next few weeks
(I have been saving up my pension  ;D

Ray's web site was archived, mine was not - however there is a copy of mine being hosted by Terry Aspinall in Aus for the time being - please remember guest books, submissions forms and email links will not work and if there are any queries for either web site they should be addressed to me.

Regards, Pat ...

Suffolk Surnames List can be found at

My grateful thanks to Terry for helping out

Kevin,

I haven't done the 3 posts yet so I can't send a PM.  My Great Grandfather was a Revans and his wife was a Hiskey.  I thought there was a lot of inter mingling, what can you tell me about the two families?
