Now that I've read further in this realm of conversation I see a Christine Gibson who is also somewhat related.  Hello Christine  :)

The "Andrew" mentioned in your reply was in fact ANDERSON (Junior) born 13th Dec 1883 and emigrated, with his father Anderson b March 1856, on "Sicilian" from Glasgow on 30th March 1907.
Janet sailed on "Hesperian" from Glasgow on 10th July 1909 with Margaret (1882) : Jessie Douglas Gibson b 1891 : Alexander b Feb 1896, and KIA 14th Oct 1918.
Daughter, Janet did not go to Canada but emigrated to NZ in April 1912

Looking for details of the family of anderson Gibson  b c.1820 and twin William and brother Thomas b c 1829, around Coldingham area.
have them in 1851 censu and following.

Hello. I saw you post about GIBSON family and ties to Edrom Parish. Would you have a John GIBSON born about 16 Aug 1808 in your family? I believe his parents to be David GIBSON and possibly Isabella RENTON. May have ties to Greenlaw as well, but not for sure.

Hi ,

I have John Gibson , son of David and Isabella in my lines.  Do you have the parents marriage which I cannot find?

Hi!
It's been awhile. I found Margaret Gibson (Anderson and Janet's daughter). After she came to Canada with her mother, she married Arthur Neville Lister Blackmore. They lived in British Columbia, Canada. She died September 23, 1971 in White Rock, B.C. Her and Arthur had a daughter Flossie in 1912. It seems Flossie married and moved to the state of Washington, U.S.A. Arthur was born March 9, 1886 in London, England. He died August 6, 1978 in Surrey, B.C., Canada

I have more details of Margaret and Arthur, marriage, incl parents for both. I have sent an email direct to Christine in Alberta.
I have both death certificates for Margaret and Arthur's daughter Florence Jessica Blakemore, together with her getting married to a James Nimmo Cowie, and their marriage certificate, in 1938.
