I have OPR indexes for Berwickshire  that gives births for Thomas Ford/Isabella clark  Isabella is always ISABEL  and Clark sometimes with CLERK.
I found all their children  born DUNS-- Helen c. 21-3-1755 Isabel c4-6-1758 James c 17-1-1754 Margaret c 24-3-1747 and under FOORD Mary c 21-8-1748 and another James c 20-9-1750 who must have died before the next James above in 1754.
I also noticed
william Ford Margaret Crow births in Hutton c 29-7-1786 elizabeth  and a John 11-5-1786 also a Mary 24-3-1782 at Chirnside where Margaret is shown as Magdalene Crow!!
YOU MAY HAVE THIS INFO BUT IN CASE YOU DONT i HOPE IT HELPS.

Hoprigg As i previously mentioned none of your Fords match ours.
The details i gave you gave from Old Parish record indexes which are too just too many to copy. I suggest you visit your localFamily History Society where they may have them or they are all on Scotlandspeople.
keep looking

Hi Alan
I have Foord/Fords who seem to match your comments below, although slightly different names/dates.

My GGGrandfather Joseph Ford married Agnes Alison on 3 Apr 1785 OPR Gordon, Berwickshire.
Josephs was born around 1758 but there the records stop.
His son James born 24 Jan 1793 married Margaret Wheelons or Whillons on 1 Jul 1821
Their son Joseph Ford born 13 Nov 1824 married Janet Lees on 21 Feb 1851
Their son Joseph Ford born 19 Apr 1864 is my great grandfather.

Joseph immigrated to Australia with brother James, before immigrating to New Zealand, while their other brother Aaron immigrated to Canada.  I have met descendants of Aaron Ford in the 70's when they visited our family here in New Zealand.

I am writing a wee book about the Ford Family 1758 on... and am interested in shipping records and any stories about life during the 1800's.

Cherie (nee Ford)
