McCALLIONs in Londonderry
« on: Monday 15 February 10 12:33 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for anyone who may be searching for the McCallions of Londonderry. My great grandmother Hessie McCallion married my Great Grand Father Joseph Hollywood in Bonhill Dunbartonshire in 1903. She was not on the 1901 census in Scotland so must have arrived here round about 1902. Her Father was James McCallion, he was a boot and shoe maker and is noted as deceased, so i think she came here with her mother Margaret Nellis or McNellis and siblings. She gave birth to her first child Thomas 1 month after marriage!! She came from Rathbradybeg, Newtown Limavaddy. I WOULD BE GREATFUL FOR ANY INFORMATION ON THE IRISH SIDE PLEASE.

Hi,

I have had a look in the IGI section of www.familysearch.org and found that Hessie McCallion was born to JAMES McCallion and Margaret Nellis on 27 Mar1883 in the townland of Rathbradybeg in Limavady. However I cannot find a marriage for James and Margaret.

Regards
Stewart, Irwin, Morrison, Haslett, Murrell - Dungiven area Co. Londonderry
Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh
Neil, Smyth _Co. Antrim
