1939 National Register for Northern Ireland
« on: Friday 19 February 10 12:49 GMT (UK) »
I had a phone call yesterday from PRONI about a Freedom of Information request I made concerning an address in Belfast in the National Register established of September 1939. The equivalent information in Britain is already available - see www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,418504.0.html.

Basically it is looking promising, though problematic - the story of Irish genealogy all over really!  :)

For a summary see http://scottishancestry.blogspot.com/2010/02/1939-national-register-northern-ireland.html

Has anyone got a breakdown of the "N.R. District codes" for northern Ireland in the 1939 register?
