Reginald RILEY b.1899 - where is he?

This posting looks like a shot from the hip and I'm sorry for the paucity of information, but here goes.

Reginald James Riley was born in November 1899 in Yorkshire.    The story goes that he got a girl pregnant and then 'ran away' to Australia in the 1920s.   In Australia he married Dorothy - surname unknown.

I wonder if this rings any bells?

There is a death:

There are 5 deaths for Dorothy Rileys
In Victoria-no marriage up to 1942. No death of Reginald or Dorothy up to 1985

there was a second wife

RILEY Reta Isabel died 10 Nov 1958 Semaphore Dist PtA 882 6976. She was aged 40 married, residence Semaphore relative Reginald James RILEY (Husband)

perhaps the national archives papers are a divorce
