I find this curious

Erected by James Jackson, Inchaleen
In memory of his beloved daughter Matilda M., who died 3 May 1875, aged 18 years
and the above James Jackson who died (date not recorded by me)
and his wife Elizabeth, died 18 April 1901, aged 85 years
and his son John, 17 July 1918, aged 64 years

Possible link, although Elizabeth Dunlop being born c 1817 to Andrew and Jane Dunlop doesn't fit with your data - you would need proof from the poster

"James Jackson, baker, m. Elizabeth Dunlop?. Children: Jane (1843), James (c1843), Elizabeth (1849), John (c1854). Matilda McCloy (c1857), Nancy, Mary Anne Reid (c1859), James Archibald (1862)" - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=652073.0

Mary Dickson, wife of Marcus Dickson, died 28 July 1828, aged 30 years

Actual headstone is slightly different, last date of death 1928.

Jane Dunlop, Maghera, daughter of Hugh Dunlop (merchant), married 29 Aug.1877 at Maghera Presbyterian church to Thomas Dixon.
Other marriages-
(1882) Lizzie Dunlop to Robert McCurdy
(1882) Mary Dunlop to Robert J. Armstrong
(1885) Martha Dunlop to Samuel Perry
(1889) Ellen Dunlop to William James Laverty

Must have been transcribed wrong -

Mary Dickson, wife of Marcus Dickson, died 28 July 1828 (should be 1928), aged 30 years - comparing to the husbands date of return to Garvagh ......
Dickson, Marcus, Sgt., arrived New York on Columbia from Derry 12th March 1912, son of Thomas Dickson, merchant, Garvagh. Joined American Army. Returned to Garvagh 1921 - makes sense

The Bann Valley site is full of errors, especially the gravestone transcriptions (punctuation added or omitted seemingly at random)- this one should read:
Erected by Robert John Armstrong, Dullaghy in memory of his beloved wife Nancy, who departed this life, 14th Sept 1881 aged 35 years. Also his son John Hilton, who departed this life, 14th Sept 1881 aged 8 years. Also his daughter Annie who departed this life 8th Sept. 1881, aged 3 years. Also to the above named Robert John Armstrong who died 25 December 1919 aged 72 years. And his wife Mary Dunlop died 10 Feby 1934, aged 80 years. Also their daughter Sarah Jane died 7th April 1969, aged 83 years.
(one of the witnesses was Martha Dunlop).
Robert John Armstrong's 1st wife was Nancy Hilton. He married Mary Dunlop on 20 Apr.1882 at Ringsend Presbyterian Chuurch

Hi Captain Sailor, great to hear from you on this long forgotten about thread, sorry I haven’t responded sooner, since my first post I have gathered some more information and it certainly looks like the same Dunlop connection although I must confess in recent years I have not carried out any further research, I have also visited and photographed the Dunlop grave of which aghadowey has provided a transcription.

Hi whiteout7, the Hugh Harkin whose will you refer to was my Grandfather and Olive is his eldest Daughter, I also photographed the Dickson grave you have mentioned but am unsure of the exact connection although I can confirm from the photograph that the year of Mary Dickson's death is indeed 1928.

Maybe 2016 is the year my interest in my family tree will be re-ignited!
