Mar: 08 May 1545 to  William Uvedale Esq, at St Mary Aldermanbury (London?, her dad was the
Sheriff of London in1537, and Lord Mayor of London in 1547).
Bur: Wickham, Hampshire, ENG; 14 Dec 1567.

This book is the only ref that I have found so far, that backs up my family info on ancestry.com.au

Very many thanks for your input, here's  a bit more info that may help your research :
Ellen - 1533 to 1567 3rd daughter of Sir John Gresham of Holt, Norfolk .  Sir John was Lord Mayor of London in 1547.   As I said previously I do have William Uvedale's will (he died 2 June 1569), and lot of information relating to the Uvedale's/Norton's and Gresham's however what I am missing is the jigsaw piece that fits young Ellen Uvedale into the family before she married Sir Peter Bettesworth.. still searching

Hello everyone i descend from Joan Bettesworth mother Ellen Uvedale.I too cant confirm which Ellen she is... theres so many conflicting records they all seem to be in conflict..if Ellen is dau of Ellen Gresham then Ellen Gresham married at 11 yrs old  and shes born within a year of her mother passing even peerage records books ..wills its a mess lol anyway back to basics me thinks and would love to hear from anyone kind regards Julie-Ann in New Zealand

John Gresham (born 13 March 1529), second son, who married on 17 July 1553, Elizabeth Dormer, daughter and heir of Edward Dormer, haberdasher, of London and Fulham and his wife, Katherine Sampson (see below). John Gresham and Elizabeth Dormer had three sons.[11] After John Gresham's death his widow, Elizabeth, married William Plumbe (d.1593) of Northend near Fulham.[12]

this suggests to me that this is the Ellen GRESHAM born 1533
