Looking for birth c. 1788 speyside of my 2X grandfather John grant teacher of dancing - he taught in Elgin, Nairn, Forres & Cromarty c. 1821 - 1826 - married
Margaret Campbell 1818 Rathven... he died at Upper Banchory 20 Feb 1851
in his 63rd year (obit Forres Gazette)..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rosina,
 You might already have done this but have a look at http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp There are three John Grants all of them dancing teachers & one of them ties in with yours but the others may be related.
