Thanks Rathmore :) Had the census info. Can't find Ellen Hollingsworth prior to 1911. There is an obvious possibility, but the wrong father's name (is John on Marriage cert)

Hi Daithi,

really looks like they could be the right family. Right county, age would be about right. A brother in a nearby street in 1911. Ellen's brother in law William married a Byrne, so could also be a potential connection there too.

Hadn't used family search, might have a go and see if it gets me past a couple of walls in other family ines

Michael son age 21
Joseph Flanangan age 9 grandson
Thomas age 5 grandson

thank you both. We've a fair bit on our direct descendent which we think is Helena (although not sure if she married - its complicated - most likely option a Patrick lawlor in 1918) and probably the Joseph in the 1911 census, but all the extras on the siblings etc is great, building up a nice picture.
