Maria Anna Camelin (nee Stephenson)
« on: Saturday 27 February 10 19:00 GMT (UK) »
Maria Anna Stephenson witnessed her brother(?) John's marriage in 1796, and then married Mark Camelin in 1808 in St Pancras.

There is a probable sighting of him in 1841 (HO107/685/2) living in St Pancras, where he is described as aged 65+ and born in Foreign Parts; but I can find no other mention of him or Maria Anna.

I am interested in finding more out about her. It is just possible (but unlikely) that she is the Maria Ann Stephenson born in 1765 to Thomas and Deborah Stephenson, but their son John glorifies in the name John Gascoine Tomlinson Stevenson which seems to be the wrong class (Maria's 'brother' John was an engraver/lithographer).

Thanks for loooking; an interesting co-incidence of names and place.

I did find a reference to a Maria Ann Camelin in the USA but she turned out to be a different person.
