"Stationary (9 tons) "  :o :o

An Army doesn't march on its stomach but on paper work  :P

Apart from the Great War service records, where does one start to quantify the "greatest" loss?

The greatest loss has to be anyone killed in the raid surely.

Although tragic for family historians, I would rather no one was killed in the raid, or better yet it was not hit at all and hence being a win win situation.

Redroger,

You are so right. Sometimes we get so caught up in records we forget they relate to real people.

I am going to lock this thread but am happy to talk about it elsewhere on the Armed Forces board.
