Harrold/Harald Vikings
« on: Sunday 21 March 10 04:32 GMT (UK) »
I have heard rumors in the family of Vikings.  It's not family lore, but rather research that people have done.  My Harrolds come from Gairsay.

When I google Gairsay, it is says it was the home of a Viking in the 1100s.  When I followed the path a little further, I found the names Harald and Craigie.  Craigie is another name in my family tree from Gairsay.

I have not been able to trace this line past 1750, but I am beginning to wonder if Craigie and Harald fit in my tree.  When I looked further, Harald became King of Denmark.

Has anyone done any research on this and what did you find?
