Hello Jac.

Your very welcome - amazing how many small pieces of information you can find these days to fit the jig-sawpieces together.  You never know we could find more - just takes a bit of team-work sometimes -  fingers crossed.  ;D

Hi again,
Just a quick question.  Could the people on the passenger list be Daniel and a sister and Mum with Katherine spelt with a C.

Wishfull thinking I suppose.

Thanks

The search engine isn't perfect, but there are a few mentions of the Herfy family in Rochester papers here:  http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html

I would think that was the family on the passenger list in 1881 were Catherine/Katherine and the children.  ;D

Looks as if Sabin was widowed by 1900 so perhaps Catherine/Katherine died in Rochester.1900 Census Rochester Ward 20, Monroe, New York

Saben Herfi 61 Bornn April 1839 Germany. Widowed. Marriage year 1870. Had 7 children but only 3 survive.  Immigrated 1878 Labourer.
Barbara Herfi 16

So if only 3 children survive in 1900 - thats Evalyna, Barbara and Daniel.
(Magola must have died between 1892 and 1900)

Thank you so much for that Dettori.  This sure is a very interesting journey.  My husband and his father will be so pleased to have all this information.  You people are so helpful and I really appreciate it.

Hello Jac.

Another little snippet for you, it all helps piece things together.

The WW1 Draft For William JOHN Liebeck gives his birth as 21 April 1883 and he is a film maker with Eastman Kodak. His wife is named as Barbara JULIA Liebeck

Thanks again for these little pieces of information.  They are starting to fit together nicely and some of the web sites have given more.  I found a newspaper article for Lena in one of the papers.  It was an article about her death in England.  I also found a death notice for Emma naming her sisters, brothers and daughters.

Unfortunately I have to work so spend all day wishing I was at home and retired to spend more time on this,

Thanks again

There is a census record for 1930 Rochester, Monroe, New York. Makes me wonder if both William and Barbara have died ?

St Joseph's Orphan Assylum.

George Liebeck Aged 10 years.
Lawrence Liebeck Aged 8 Years
Charles - Can't quite make his age out properly but it looks like 4 years 10 months.

SSDI Record. George Liebeck son of William and Barbara

George Liebeck Born 6 April 1919 Died Jul 1980. Rochester. Monroe. New York
