Dean family - Nottingham area

    I would like to make contact with anyone researching the family of Basil Edwin Dean 1908 - 1973 and his wife Hilda ( nee Taylor ) 1898 - 1986.
I believe Basil was a partner in Dean Engineering Supplies, which I think was on Hall Street, Sherwood.

Hi bigjon. I'm a little late to the game here, but if you are still looking for information on Hilda Taylor my grandmother was Hilda's relative and I can share more of their story with you.

    I have not researched for quite a while now and this now seems new to me, but I was researching the Taylors for a good friend of mine.
    We have found that he was adopted and that he was the illegitimate son of Lilian Irene Taylor.
     Research shows that Lilian was never married and lived with her sister and her husband Basil Dean.
    No father is shown on the birth certificate - our only chance for clues now could be family gossip or rumours.
 Hope you can help in any way.
