The graveyards in Carrigtwohill are: St. Mary's ( Adjacent to parish church) and Templeacurraheen which is about 2 miles away. There is a very old burial place called the "Relig" at Ballyannan which is next to the ruined Cromwellian castle

Hi, Tijom,
That is really kind of you--- thank you so much for the offer.
I have done a huge amount of research since I wrote the above posts. During that time, I discovered that I was looking at the completely wrong Walsh family. I found my actual ancestors in County Kerry, not in County Cork.
I wish I had some questions to ask you--- nothing like having a local to look things up-- but I don't need info in Cork anymore
But I had to let you know that I appreciate your kindness! And I hope the people who do need Cork information will see your offer.
Thank you and all the best to you,
Walsh-seeker

Hi
I have just seen the enquiries by Chedburger regarding Woodstock near Carrigtwohill. My grandmother was Helena Lawton  (Lena) nee Fitzgerald  and mother is Kate ( Kitty) now 94 years.

If Chedburger is out there I can help.

Hello Woodstock,

Welcome to RootsChat.

I have just checked on Chedburgers profile settings and sadly I can see that his email notifications are no longer working, it looks like he has changed email address but has not kept us upto date with his new one. I have done a quick search but could find nothing online of help. So sorry we could not connect you.

Regards

Sarah

Good Morning,
I'm researching my wife's family, (Fitzgerald), and hoping there may be someone here to share information.
Her Grandfather, Patrick, is from Carrigtwohill, born in 1876 to Patrick Fitzgerald and I think Mary Lawton, also from Carrigtwohill. He died in 1961 in Carrigane Cottage, Carrigtwohill.
My research suggests that he had two older brothers, John 1872 and Richard 1873, and sister Johanna 1875.
The only marriage record I have been able to find for Patrick Fitzgerald and Mary Lawton is from 1871 Imogeela and has Patrick from Tullagreen, Carrigtwohill and Mary Lawton from Youngrove so I''m not sure that they are the Patrick and Mary I'm looking for.
Any and all information would be appreciated.

Hi, ubhig,

Yes, that site was extremely limited! :)

Only limited by people visiting Cemeteres and not taking a few photos to add.....   ;D

If you think this is the correct Patrick, then he was born in Cleeduff (Clyduff) - a townland in civil parish of Carrigtwohill.
