Richard and Jane Humphreys
« on: Wednesday 31 March 10 18:07 BST (UK) »
Hello

I wonder whether anyone would be able to help me with some more information about my relatives, Richard and Jane Humphreys. Richard was born approx 1775 (in Merionethshire but we don't know where) and Jane approx 1776 in Tywyn, Merionethshire. In the 1841 census Richard was a Miller, living in Love Lane, Dolgellau. Richard died in 1850 and Jane was living with her daughter in Montgomeryshire in the 1851 census. We know 5 of their youngest children, all born in Montgomeryshire, but perhaps they had older children who were born in Meirionethshire? We would love to know when Richard and Jane married (perhaps 1795-1800?), what Jane's maiden name was, whether they had anymore children etc?
Any help most gratefully received! Thanks!

The Merionethshire marriage index has an entry that might be related to your people:
Richard Humphreys bachelor of Trawsfynydd married Jane Roberts spinster of Dolgellau 8th May 1807 by banns
