Hi i am looking for information on the Mccahon family of ireland. My gt gran Margaret McCahon b1894c, married Thomas Mcfaul b1891c, (my grandfather) in 8/4/1914 at coleraine reg office, thomas died in ww1 and my gran then went on to marry David Keers b1890c (my step g. grandfather) married in 1921 again at coleraine reg office. I have Margaret McCahon's father as Alexander McCahon. any help greatly appreciated. I can be emailed at (*). thankyou again.

I have margaret McCahons father as alexander and alexanders father maybe John mccahon who married mcmullin.

Where were Thomas and Margaret living when they got married?

Have you found them in 1911 census yet?

Hi thomas and margaret didnt marry until 1914. yes that is thomas war record, i have these details thankyou. I cannot find thomas or margaret (maggie as she was known) in the 1911 census. thankyou for any help.

Where were they living at the time of their marriage? I may have details but need more information to check through files.

i think coleraine. in 1914 when thomas sighned up at coleraine, he put residence as Clonavon Road. Sometimes it seems he spelt surname mcfall.

Cloonavin is the Council Offices but can't recall a Clonavon Road in Coleraine. Also, Thomas is not listed in Coleraine Heroes 1914-1918 which lists soldiers who died in WWI- only one listed is a John McFall of Camus outside Coleraine and I'm fairly certain that your Thomas is not related to that family.

Hi is listed in the bushmills heroes 1914-1918 born at priestland, bushmills.son of campbell and esther. commerated at dunluce parish church.

1911 census thomas parents (campbell & esther) and some of the children where residing at East Park, Beardiville, antrim. thomas full name was thomas campbell mcfaul.
