Wow I just popped my head back on this thread holy cow - what a wealth of info you peeps have collected.

So there were 2 Graham Hunter Pierces. Absolutely amazing that 2 people with an unusual name like his to be in NSW.

I've just been looking online at NZ papers past, legal proceedings in Carlton Court ...Graham H Pierce, child adopted, East Melbourne BDM registrar  mentioned ...  not sure if this cutting is for Graham Hunter Pierce...

I had dismissed this earlier as I couldn't find a marriage.

However the woman referred to in the news item is Emily Violet WINN

and a marriage in Sydney :-\

Sorry for my ignorance of Australian records, but is this a birth or a death?  if a birth it looks as though they had a child 2 yrs after the "adoption" scandal and gave him the same names in a different order (or have I misinterpreted it?)


Ignore me - have now re-read the adoption story and it was 1889, not 1887 as I first thought - this must be the fraudulent birth registration.
