Phelps of Rhondda, nelson and Treharris

My Grt grt grandfather William Phelps lived in tylorstown then moved to nelson and lastly Treharris.
He married Rachel Harries in Pontypridd in 1888.
Anyone else looking for Phelps family

Hiya,
My grandmother remarried a Thomas PHELPS Jones he was born in Newport MON
17th May 1898 and died 1950, lived in Merthyr Tydfil.
A relation?
If so i would most welcome any information.

My grt grandfather was born in Monmouthshire acc to census in either Tredegar or could be Tregaron! Where was Thomas Phelps jones living in Merthyr?
I have a Thomas Phelps b 1860 b Aberdare.

Hiya,
Thanks for the mail, checked what i have:
1938 on a postacard
and 1942 (on his war time identity card)18 Pennel St, Twynyrodyn, Merthyr Tydfil.
29th August 1958 died at 4 Jenkins Place, Queens Road, Merthyr Tydfil. (cutting from Merthyr Express)

My Phelps line were from further down the Merthyr valley.
I have lots of links with the Twynyrodyn area through the other side of my family but not the Phelps line. I haven't found any of them in the top half of Merthyr yet. Sorry
