1861 Census - RG9     2059    37    37 - New Street, Dudley

Leonard Vetie 25 Head - Naples Italy - Musician
Eleanor Vetie 24 Wife - Daventry, Northamptonshire
Francis Vetie 4 Son - Wolverhampton, Staffordshire
Anne M Vetie 2 Daug - Wolverhampton, Staffordshire

1871 Census  RG10   3014    91   32 - 1 New Street, Dudley, Worcestershire - transcribed as Viti but looks like Veti on original

Leonard Viti 30 - Naples - Clothes dealer
Ellen Viti 27 Wife - Daventry, Northamptonshire
Agnes Viti 12 Daug - Wolverhampton
P Viti 8 Son - Dudley, Worcestershire
John L Viti 5 Son - Dudley, Worcestershire
Wm Thos Viti 3 - Dudley, Worcestershire

Looks like he married again as a different wife here

1881 Census -  Posthouse Wynd, Darlington, Durham - RG11   4887    59   37

Leonard Vitty 40 Lodger, Head, Leeds, Yorkshire - Joiner
Kate Vitty 39 Wife, Leeds, Yorkshire
Leonard Vitty 3 Son, Leeds, Yorkshire

1891 Census - RG12   2294   110   29 - 2 Bath Street, Dudley

Lenard Veti 51 Head - Italy - Musician
Kate Veti 45 Wife - Dudley
Lenard Veti 17 Son - Dudley

1901 Census - RG13   4237   34   31 - 16 England Street, Leeds  Name transcribed incorrectly - Vetti - no sign of wife or son!

Leonard Detti 67 Mar, Boarder Naples, Italy - Travelling Draper   Hawk

Marriage possibility as Kate is on same page as Leonard - looks like she is his second wife

Leonard Veti
Kate O'Neil
2Q 1877 Dudley (To 1912) Staffordshire, Worcestershire  6c  185

Possible first marriage an Ellenor on same page
Leonard Viti
Ellener Groom
3Q 1855  Wolverhampton Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands   6b   574

Possible death for Ellen

Ellen Veti
Est birth year: abt 1837
1Q 1876 Dudley (To 1912)  Staffordshire, Worcestershire  6c   68
Age at Death: 39

The only possible one - but I think he must have been older than this death suggests as he married in 1855!

Leonard Veti
Est birth year: abt 1846
1Q 1910 Leeds (1837-1929) Yorkshire - West Riding   9b    288

Hope this is of interest

John Veti is described as a travelling hawker in the North-Eastern Daily Gazette for July 10 1896.

A girl by the name of Martha Locker got a month in jail for stealing money from his van (she was said to be acting as his servant and had been left in charge of his van for a day on the Jarrow pit heap while he went to Newcastle).
