This writing is incredible. I think he must have used a ruler.
I find it easiest to read enlarged to about 200%, with the line I'm reading just slightly above eye-level.
So I've had a go, but there's missing bits, and my eyeballs are screaming "basta" -- I'll have to come back to it again if someone can give it a bump. It gets intriguing on the second page.... Maybe there's bits you can fill in from context/family history, Eleanor?
