Hello Isles

Thanks so very mch for your messages; really helpful in tying up a few loose ends.

There appears to be a Mary Miller, child of George Falconer Millar and Elizabeth Wyllie born abt 1814 Fordoun (I have her death cert from SP) and she lives with Alexander, her brother, in a couple of censuses.

Do you have a photograph at all of the MI you gave me for Robert Millar and his family please?

Thanks again ...

The friend who helped me with the project photographed all the stones and donated the photos to Bervie Library and I donated the MI's.  I'm friendly with the librarian and will ask if she will loan me the photos of the Millar and James stones.   I'm unsure how one attaches a photo to a RootsChat message so if you send me your email address in a PM (Private Message) I can make copies and send them on.
I expect you have seen the 1851 Census of Bervie but just in case:-

Church Street, Bervie
MILLAR, Mary                 Head       U     37   Invalid formerly Servant    born Bervie
MILLAR, Alexander          Brother   U     32   Mason                              born Bervie
GIBSEN, Elesabeth          Niece      U     15   House Servant                  born Bervie

Hillhead
MILLAR, Robert               Head       M     34  Farmer 40 acres, 1 Lab.      born Bervie
MILLAR, Clementina         Wife        M     28                                          born Bervie
MILLAR, Clementina         Dau.                 6                                          born Bervie
MILLAR, Alexander           Son                  4                                          born Bervie
MILLAR, William               Son                  2                                          born Bervie
WILE, Ann           Sister-in-Law       U      21  House Servant                  born Bervie
GOWAN, Ellen       Servant             U      15  House servant                  born Bervie
SMITH, John         Servant             U       26 Farm Servant                   born Garvock

Although there is no MI for him, an Alexander Millar was buried at Bervie Kirkyard in 1907 aged 89.  It looks as though this is the son born to George & Elizabeth in 1819.

Isles.

Hello Isles

Thank you so much for your help!  Yes please, I will PM you.

Of course, the Ann Wile, sister in law in the 1851 census should be Ann Will, sister of Clemantina Millar, ms Will and I will add a correction to the package I am using if I can.

I have yet to find whether Ann Millar (1821 Bervie) survived and married.

Thanks again

These postings - really helped me answer my own - where is Bervie question - so thanks a million!

I was hoping member "Isles" could help me with MI's at the Old Kirkyard at Bervie. My ancestor James Tawse died by drowning at a mill in Bervie on 19 Nov 1889. He was only 48 so it was a tragic and unexpected death.

I was hoping to find his burial in the kirkyard at Bervie, although it might be at Arbuthnott.

I was wondering if you could do a lookup for me in your records?

Your assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
Katherine

Thanks for letting me know.

What a pity I could tell from his posts what a generous man he was with his time.
