There are some Yorkshire PR's on FindMyPast but nonetheless I prefer Ancestry

Hi Julie

You can search on first names only on FindMyPast - just leave the surname field blank.  I would suggest you limit area or age otherwise unless it is a most unusual name you end with a rather large number of pages.
