Percy John Newton married Mary Ann Shaw 1896 Newcastle Under Lyme
« on: Wednesday 05 May 10 16:20 BST (UK) »
Percy John was born 1872 Newcastle Under Lyme and married 1896 to Mary Ann Shaw also known as Polly.

Since then zilch except a fellow researcher named Joy has seen a photograph from him to his mother  "Love from Percy, wife and kids.

Nothing in censuses or deaths.

Anyone got any clues.

I have tried emigration but found nothing.

The family trade was barbering or hairdressing.

Family split up with Isaac Newton and Angelina nee Bason staying in Staffordshire - some children stayed some moved on all points of compass.

Dudley, Stoke, Stalybridge, Macclesfield - wife of Jacob Newton (Isaac's brother ) went to Macclesfield with his father William and died - wife Emma and children emigrated to USA (Utah)

Any chance of someone in colonies checking.

Now found to have moved to Bristol and used different surname of Mason.    Trouble is lots of Mason families in Bristol.

One male child in 1901 census who died later.
One female child in 1911 census who married a man surnamed Aldous and died 1927.

The 1911 census says they had one child living and 2 dead so I don't know name of middle child.

Another male child born 1912 therefore mother's maiden name Shaw appears on index and I can't find a Mason marriage with a female spouse surname of Shaw so hopefully that child is there's too.

Anyone know of another child born between 1901 and 1911 who died too soon for the 1911 census.
